Rik Mayall is le sex.
Look, there's no point in denying it and if you don't believe me then you can just piss off as I don't care because I know i'm right. Anyway, he is le sex, and to celebrate this fact me, Nix, Kim and Jamie had a "Rik-Mayall-Mighty-Booshathon!" It was first just going to be a Rik Mayallathon, but then we realised The Mighty Boosh is on all weekend, so we thought we'd watch some of that too!
Anyway, what we mean by a Rik Mayallathon, if you're not sure, is basically watching everything and anything with Rik Mayall in it. We already had series one and two of The Young Ones, Drop Dead Fred, The best of Mindless Violence between Rik and Ade, plus we discovered that 'An American Werewolf in London' was on! Rik has a small role at the start of that so we were well set.
We had to walk up to Sainsburys to get Kim though, because she works there and before that we stopped off at Asda, to see if we could find anything else Rik Mayallesque and ended up leaving with Series one of Bottom. Then we wandered over to Sainsburys, found Kim and ended up in Borders where we bought Filthy, Rich and Catflap, and The New Statesman. You got all that?
We had: 2 The Young Ones DVDs, Drop Dead Fred, An American Werewolf In London, Mindless Violence, Bottom, Filthy, Rich And Catflap, The New Statesman urrm... And I think that's it.
So we got back to my house and we decided to start watching Filthy, Rich And Catflap. That's the show that Rik and Ade wrote after The Young Ones. It's about Rich (Rik Mayall) who is an aspiring comedian/actor (who sucks) and lives with his minder Catflap (Adrian Edmondson) and occasionally is visited by his agent Filthy (Nigel Planer (that's right! Neil!)). My dad doesn't like it, but I think it's damn funny!

Then after a few episodes of that we realised The Mighty Boosh was on, so we went downstairs and started watching that with my dad, but i'd seen them all before so I was reading the Rik Mayall book. Oh yes, he's written books! It's called 'Bigger Than Hitler, Better Than Christ' .. It's so funny, like laugh-out-loud-so-much-people-think-you're-insane kind of funny. My dad went to bed during that and when we were bored of The Boosh we noticed that 'An American Werewolf in London' was starting, so we watched the first 20 or so minutes of that. Rik only has a small role in it, he plays a local yokel, lol!

(Rik Mayall.. The local yokel.)
Then when the lads had left the pub and Rik behind, we put on Drop Dead Fred. I LOVE DROP DEAD FRED! It is one of the most amazing films ever made. I want a damn imaginary friend like Drop Dead Fred!! Jamie went to bed halfway through, I think he got sick of me, Nix and Kim saying things like "Aww! How could you do that to Fred?!" It was cute.

(Pirate Fred!! I want that hat...)
After that had finished, it was about 2:00 AM and I think Kim was tired but me and Nix weren't 'cause we're dead hard. So we put on Series One of The Young Ones and played spot the hippy. It's great! I don't mean Neil, by the way. That would be a really easy game. I mean the random hippy that sits in the background of some shots and is very scary!

(Rik as 'Rick' in The Young Ones, with his adorable yellow dungarees ^^)
It was during the viewing of the DVD that me and Nix wrote a letter to Rik Mayall, explaining how if he doesn't come out to meet us before or after the show on the 29th of July, then we'd dig a tunnel from the outside into the dressing room whether he liked it or not. Hehehe, and we're gonna send it to him! Soo, nothing else left to say really.. I'll end on a pic of Rik and Ade... 'Cause I love Adrian's hair in this picture ^^
