One moment..
Okie dokie.. I'm back, sorry - opened this then Time Of Your Life came on the TV behind me. ... Fuck, Green Day just chose David Bowie to play.... I love them, I love David Bowie - THEY ROCK!
Anyway... Ah yes, I was going to tell you what's been happening in the past week since my compooder broke. Well, on Thursday we went to see Million Dead/Finch as planned. It was me, Tasha, Rachael and Jamie going and I confoozled them all by singing "Who's house? MY HOUSE!" After school. I don't know either so don't ask.
We listened to Million Dead and Green Day on the way down to Nottingham, it was fun - then we got there and there were a few emo's there. (Aah! They were all sad looking and they were all wearing converse!) So we sat down and then Tasha and Rachael decided they wanted to go to the toilet and smoke. So they went to the cinema near the venue and then when they got back me and Jamie decided to go buy everyone food.
It took us ages to find a Mac Donalds and we almost got lost in Nottingham. Then we got some food and went back to the queue, but then Tasha decided she was still hungry so she went back to Mac Donalds with Jamie and me and Rachael stayed at the venue making up names for random people that walked by. Then Tash and Jamie got back and we noticed Dan (Rachael's ex) so I called him over and she almost hit me, it was funny. He thinks me and Tasha are insane.
Then the doors were being opened so we slyly joined the queue from the side, right next to the doors, so I was like the third person in. Then we got to the front (how could we not if I was third person in?) and we were chatting - and there was a space of about a three quarters of a metre in between the crowd barrier and the stage where the security guards were. And I dropped my bottle!! My legendary Green Day bottle! (Well, now it's my legendary Green Day/Million Dead/Finch/Twelvth Knight/Work Experience bottle) And the security guard refused to pick it up! So I wrote an emo song about him, right there in the crowd, it went something like:
WAAAAAH! YOU STUPID FAT SECURITY GUARD!
WHY ARE YOU SUCH A WANKER?!
YOU MAKE ME WANT TO CRY IN THE RAIN!
And it made the girl standing next to me laugh, so I started talking to her and she's cool. Her name is Alex. Then Million Dead came on, and it was like "AAAAH!" So I attempted to ring Nix, but I couldn't hear her so I just held the phone up and screamed "MIIIILLLLIIIOOOONNN DEAAAAD!" It was awesome. Then the lead singer told us a story about how the last show they'd played at some kid challenged the drummer to an arm-wrestling competition and not only did the drummer win - he broke this kids arm!
Then they carried on playing and on one song (I can't remember which) the lead singer got down on one knee, and it was really slow and he was looking at Tasha, who was swaying with the music - then he looked at me and I was like "Awwwwwwh" *mock sympathy* and he had to stand up and turn away because he was laughing!! YEAH DUDE!
Then Finch came on to a wicked version of New Beginnings. And I swear I got every single person who COULDN'T SING around me. Aaaah! But Finch were good - and a nice security guard gave me back my bottle! HA TO YOU FAT FUCK! Then halfway through the show the guitarist looked at me, so I narrowed my eyes and him, so he narrowed his eyes at me, and it was war!! AND I WON! HA IN YOUR FACE GUITARIST! I WON THE STARING COMPETITION! It was hella funny! The show was really good - especially when the lead singer almost fell over the bassist!
Afterwards I was shocked to discover that some emo kid had stolen Jamie's Green Day hat. Who the fuck would take someones hat from off their head?! ><.
Anyhoo. On Sunday (yesterday) I had the big performance, ooooh. It was funny during rehearsal in the morning because we could hear what they were saying in the sound booth, and they were talking about slush puppies and pizza! Then the actual performance went right to plan, it was awesome - I got to spit water over Adam! Saskia kicked me, the bitch! Just 'cause I said she looked like Tom Jones in her costume! (SHE DID!) Haha, love you Saskia.
I made friends with loads of people, especially Matteh and Natasha, woo!
